Kate joined HappyValley.com in October 2012 and brings with her over 4 years of customer support experience. She is passionate about connecting with her clients to ensure a partnership that creates the best possible marketing/advertising plan. Kate enjoys listening to the heart of a local establishment in order to find its niche in our community and best showcase our Happy Valley businesses. Kate says, “Every business has a unique story that I love to hear and I especially enjoy watching the business owners tell their stories with such pride.”

Kate’s background includes work at Nextel Partners Inc. where she was the direct sales support representative and local marketing contact. Kate launched the sales office of Nextel Partners in State College and enjoyed 4 years of success with multiple customer service awards from the corporate office, including best in the company being given to the office in 2004.

Kate attended Penn State University for which she, as most who attend do, has a great pride for her school. She majored in Science with a minor in business. Kate was the president of Phi Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity and also enjoyed assisting fellow PSU students by being a resident assistant for 2 years.

Kate met her husband, Daryl Branford, while attending Penn State. Daryl is a musician here in town also works for the university as a Multi Media Specialist. After getting married in Happy Valley they decided to call it home and raise a family. Kate has four children; Zoey, Jordan, Atris and Miles that keep her very busy and she wouldn’t trade a minute of it. In addition to spending time with her family, Kate enjoys traveling with her family, biking, fishing, boating, gardening and watching any PSU sports!!!
