Affinity Connection, Inc. Adds Delta Kappa Epsilon at Yale to Greek Client Roster
December 14, 2009
The alumni organization for the Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE) chapter at Yale University, DKE’s founding chapter, has contracted with Affinity Connection to revitalize its alumni base of 1,700-members living members. According to Chairman Emeritus of DKE International and President of Mother Phi Foundation Inc. Jim Bishop, the goal of this partnership is to establish a strong link between the undergraduates and alumni, and to maintain, preserve and possibly build new housing for the chapter.
Bishop said, “We selected Affinity Connection as a partner in our alumni relations efforts because of the company’s success with the DKE chapter at University of North Carolina, which we learned about through DKE’s former Executive Director David Easlick who has been assisting us in the selection of an alumni relations partner. The Yale chapter is our founding chapter—it has never ceased to exist, even in the worst of times, thanks to strong alumni support. We need a partnership with an alumni relations service that can capture this spirit of Phi Deke and help fully engage our dedicated alumni base.”
There are more 1700 living alumni from DKE’s Yale chapter representing all walks of life, including two former Presidents of the United States. At the undergraduate level, Yale DKEs have a long history of leadership on the Yale athletic teams, and all aspects of campus. Founded in 1844, the chapter’s brotherhood boasts men who are “equal combination of gentleman, scholar and jolly good fellow.”
According to VP of Client Development, Nathan Leopard, Affinity Connection specializes in bringing a consumer marketing skill-set to alumni interest groups and non-profit organizations, both of which rely on small staffs, and volunteers. “Our expertise is in creating and implementing integrated marketing programs that motivate donors and volunteers to take action. We also offer our clients access to affordable tools and services like database management, online giving and commerce capabilities, donation processing, and a full-scale web platform with a built-in email marketing program. We’re excited to put our expertise to work for DKE Yale.”
